Hong Kong Moral and National Education Essays
Hong Kong Moral and National Education Essays Hong Kong Moral and National Education Essay Hong Kong Moral and National Education Essay Do you figure good and national instruction ought to be annulled? Good and national training had as of late become a hotly debated issue in Hong Kong. Good and national educationâ is a school educational program proposed by theà Education Bureau of Hong Kong, it s changed from the current good and city training. The Education Bureau expressed that it is to develop ââ¬Å"positive qualities and attitudesâ⬠in understudies. Schools are compelled to make it into a free subject and instructors will instruct as per educational plan given by the Education Bureau. In any case, the general public speculated that it is conditioning, they express their interests through shaping affiliations like Scholarism and walking. National Education ought to have included alternate points of view for understudies to find out about their nation and citizenship. Rather than telling understudies about their nation completely, the data is painstakingly chosen by the administration. Of the 19 references, 18 of them were composed by territory Chinese. There are no references from neighborhood or outside researcher, no various perspectives and various interests. They are each of the uneven perspective on China and ignored bunches of significant issues, for example, the advancement in human rights and majority rules system in China. Such references and handbooks are improper to use as instructing materials. Hong Kong schools as of now have liberal examinations, common training and Chinese history, substance of exercises are covered. Understudies are overburdened by schoolwork, test and assessment. Schools and educators are racing through the prospectus of HKDSE. Time is tight for both school and understudies, another obligatory subject isn't required. This makes more weight and worry than the advantage it may have on the significant partners. The educational plan manage for the assessment of studentââ¬â¢s execution is additionally being stressed. Understudies must be genuinely contacted so as to show their energy. It centers understudies to camouflage or to counterfeit their sentiments so as to get better grades, it's anything but a legitimate method of instruction. Alongside substance that applauds the Communist China, ââ¬Å"advanced, charitable and joined overseeing bodyâ⬠with qualities that ââ¬Å"ensuring stable administration, ensuring completeness of countryâ⬠. Understudies are to be programmed and to adore their nation indiscriminately. Outrageous patriotism and energy can without much of a stretch prompts war due to a little clash (WW1). As I would like to think, a good and metro instruction educational program board ought to be set to draw up rules and structure the instructing materials. It ought to be comprise of prepared educators, guardians and individuals from various pieces of the general public. The educational plan panel can likewise screen the implantation of this subject or whether it should turn into a subject at school. With all the dismissals and differences from proficient instructors, guardians and even understudies themselves, the administration ought to comprehend their interests and go for an increasingly opened methodology.

There is no set point - Essay Example Goodman Brownââ¬â¢s choice to go to the woodland and meet with the fallen angel is, from one viewpoint, supernatural and, then again, gallant. The significant worry of the man isn't simply the reality of meeting, yet the idea of how others would consider him after that. Strict convictions of Goodman Brown are fascinating from mental point of view, since this confidence depends on his conviction that individuals around him are likewise strict. Shockingly, protagonistââ¬â¢s confidence is excessively powerless and can be handily affected by others. Hence, when a man becomes more acquainted with that his nearby individuals like dad, spouse, granddad, Goody Cloyse, Deacon Gookin, the clergyman are in kinship with demon, he decides to join the greater part also. Individuals who joined fallen angel used to be devout and regarded in their town. In this way, Goodman Brown doesn't address legitimacy of his choice concerning strict and confidence matters. The hero basically does likewise as everybody he knows well. Being innately debased Goodman Brown is bound to lose his honesty, which is an image of offense from the Godââ¬â¢s world into the universe of demon. From the earliest starting point it was Goodman Brownââ¬â¢s decision to go to the woodland and meet with the fiend. Nobody instructs him to do as such. Such a request for occasions is advantageous to the villain and he even encourages Goodman Brown in his choice.

While some of the symptoms of BPD are not easily identified, others are associated with observable behaviors. Borderline personality disorder symptoms include instability in interpersonal relationships, self-image, and emotion, as well as a pattern of impulsive behaviors. Individuals with BPD often first experience these symptoms in young adulthood and the symptoms tend to continue for many years. BPD may occur in both men and women. Here are some signs and symptoms that may indicate you or your loved one need to be evaluated by a healthcare professional: Fear of Abandonment People with BPD tend to have difficulties in their relationships. In particular, people with BPD can be very sensitive to abandonment. They may believe they are being left by someone when that is not actually the case at all.?? Since the fear of abandonment can be so strong and pervasive, people with BPD often engage in behaviors meant to provide reassurance that the other person still cares about them. For example, they may call someone on the telephone repeatedly asking for confirmation that the relationship is still intact or physically cling to others when they attempt to leave. Unfortunately, this scenario can be a double-edged sword. The more a person seeks reassurance that their relationship with another is safe, the more likely they are to push that person away, sabotaging themselves in the process. Unstable Relationships BPD is often associated with patterns of very unstable and intense interpersonal relationships. A pattern of alternating between idealization and devaluation in relationships is common, a process referred to as splitting. A relationship may start in the idealization phase with the person with BPD feeling intensely connected to and positive about the other person and wanting to spend a lot of time with this person. When the devaluation phase emerges, however, the person with BPD may see the other person as worthless, mean or uncaring, and may attempt to distance herself from him or her. In addition, a relationship with someone with BPD is commonly characterized by lots of conflicts, ups and downs, mistrust, neediness, and frequent arguments. In fact, a person with BPD often feels disappointment in or even hatred towards loved ones. They also have difficulty recognizing the feelings of others or empathizing with others. ? Impairment in Identity The same instability in relationships can also apply to self-image or sense of self. A person with BPD may seem to believe that she is successful one moment, but the next may be extremely self-denigrating or hard on herself. Her sense of self may also be unstable, which may lead her to behave differently in different contexts, such as behaving one way around one group of friends but another way entirely around another group. In addition, a person with BPD may feel non-existent or unsure about their identity or role (for example, feeling like you dont know who you really are as a person, or what you believe in.) Impulsivity Many people with BPD exhibit risky impulsive behaviors, such as: Spending spreesHaving promiscuous sexDriving recklesslyAbusing drugs or alcoholBinge eatingBreaking the law (for example, shoplifting) These impulsive behaviors, in turn, often lead to problems with relationships, physical health, or legal issues. Self-Harm or Suicide Behaviors Some individuals with BPD may engage in self-harming behaviors and some make suicidal gestures or attempts. Self-harming behaviors and suicidal gestures are actually separate issuesâ"self-harming behaviors are not attempts to commit suicide. Self-harming behaviors (self-mutilation) are attempts to get rid of emotional pain or intensely uncomfortable feelings. People who self-harm rarely do so when others are present. Yet you may see signs of self-harm, including scarring or wounds from cutting, burning, or other forms of self-injury. People with BPD may also threaten suicide and may make suicide attempts. Such threats or attempts should be taken very seriously. Its thought that roughly 70 percent of people with borderline personality disorder will make at least one suicide attempt during their life, and for nearly 10 percent of people with BPD, the attempt will be successful. If you are thinking that you or a loved one may have BPD, write down the number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline before you leave this page.?? Emotional Instability Although this is not always something that can be observed from the outside, people with BPD tend to have intense and frequent mood changes that usually occur in response to something happening in the environment. A person with BPD may go from seemingly content to feeling upset in a matter of minutes or even seconds. She (or he, as men may have BPD as well) may also experience intense negative feelings in reaction to day-to-day situations and/or intense sadness or irritability that can last for hours. Feelings of Emptiness A person with BPD often feels a chronic sense of emptiness, like there is nothing inside or that they are emotionally dead. This chronic feeling that life is of little worth can lead to behaviors marked by emotional drama (such as hysteria, raging, and more) in order to attract attention through a crisis. Its important for loved ones to understand the origins of these behaviors, as common reactions only serve to increase these feelings of hollowness for a person with BPD. Intense Anger and Aggressive Behavior People with BPD tend to feel intense anger that is stronger than the situation warrants. Some people with BPD experience intense anger that they rarely or never express outwardly. Others express anger openly, sometimes in the form of physical aggression. Angry behavior, ranging from sarcastic comments to physical violence against other people, is a common sign of BPD. If You Are Concerned About Yourself If you are concerned that you may have BPD yourself, please understand that we realize where the behaviors that are signs and symptoms of BPD originate. Those who are educated in BPD understand that annoying actions like repeated phone calls are your attempt to cope with a fear of abandonment. Going from seeing someone as wonderful to despising them may leave friends confused, yet it is a protective mechanism your mind enacts to try and keep you from being hurt. Finding a good therapist can make a world of difference for people living with this condition. Many of the issues that now make you see red can be coped with much more easily when you recognize them for what they are. A good therapist can help you discover and learn to cope with your triggers and help you develop healthy coping skills. Family therapy can be very helpful. The important point to make is that BPD can affect anyone involved, and its important to care for yourself as well as your loved one.?? A Word From Verywell It is important to remember that some of the symptoms described above are experienced by many people from time to time. Wedge Tornadoes Natures Largest Twisters
New Orleans, Louisiana made weather news headlines in 2017 not because of a coastal Atlantic hurricane, but because of the New Orleans East tornado. Rated an EF2, this monster weather system touched down near the city in early February of that year. It left many asking, What is a wedge tornado? and wondering how such a large and strong storm could occur so early in theà tornado season. A wedgeà tornado is the name storm spotters use for a tornado that takes the shape of a wedge, or an upside-down triangle. Unlikeà narrow, column-shaped funnel tornadoes, the wedge tornados straight, sloped sides make it look as wide, or wider, thanà it is tall. Large, But Often Hidden in Plain Sight Due to the size and width of wedge tornadoes, they are thought of as the largest and most menacing tornado type. It is so broad that at first glance itsà not recognized as being a tornado. The base, or part of the storm that touches the ground, of a wedge tornado can be a mile or more wide, and often looks like low-hanging dark clouds to passersby. These fat stormsà often bear the lions share of blame among tornado survivors, because they seem to strike without warning. As if they werent already difficult to see, wedges can also be rain-wrapped. When this occurs, curtains of nearby rainfall encircle the tornado funnel, veiling the twister and further lowering its visibility. Why So Monstrous? Thankfully, wedge tornadoes make up only a fraction of tornadoes. Roughly 2% to 3% ofà confirmed tornadoes from 1950 to 2015 have beenà wedge-shaped. Like ordinary-shaped tornadoes, these mile-wide monsters form when warm, moist unstable air collides with dry, stable air in a region of enhanced lift and strong vertical wind shear.à The secret to their mammoth size is still somewhat unknown, but the formation of multiple vortices around the main funnel may help to expand the width of the storms total wind field.à Geographically, wedges are more common in the southeast, next door to the moisture-rich Gulf of Mexico, than elsewhere in the U.S. Clouds in this region also tend to hang at low levels in the sky, which means should a tornado form, its funnel will likely be short and stout, prerequisites for a developing wedge tornado. Width Without Strength Given their apocalyptic appearance, theres a misconception that wedge tornadoes will always be powerful tornadoes, but this isnt necessarily true. Wedge width is not always a measure of severity. There have been wedges that were rated as weak EF1 tornadoes, so clearly a tornados size has nothing to do with its strength. However, wide tornadoes indeed have a tendency to also be quite violent. At 2.6 miles wide, the May 2013 EF3 El Reno, Oklahoma wedge tornado is a perfect example. Ità holds the record as the widest tornado ever measured. A number ofà the most lethal U.S. tornadoes were wedges, including the May 2007 Greensburg, Kansas;à the 2011 Joplin, Missouri; and the 2013 Moore, Oklahomaà tornado disasters. Other Tornado Shapes to Look For Wedges are just one of several shapes tornadoes can take on. A stovepipe tornado has a long, cylindrical shape, and is named for its resemblance to a roof or chimney stove pipe.Rope tornadoes resemble strings or ropes because of the curls and twists in their long, skinny funnels. They can describe narrow tornadoes or signal a dissipating tornado. As the funnel lengthens, the winds within it are forced to weakenâ ââ¬âdue to conservation ofà momentumâ ââ¬âand its circulation to shrink, a process called roping out.Of course, the classic twister bears a cone shape, with the storm at its widest where it meets the clouds and a tapered base at ground level. Robin Matterââ¬â¢s was an extraordinary young person; a young woman who is physically short and nuggets, but graceful and well balanced, who is normally calm and quiet but loves to win and who is at her best in the toughest of situations . She saves Leeââ¬â¢s life when he is shot and keeps Elli going when they strike to rescue Lee. She is a leader, and not Just when the going is tough. We will write a custom essay sample on Robyn Matthers or any similar topic only for you Order Now When Elli or Homer are active, she will let them run the show, but when leadership is needed, she will provide, even in ââ¬Ënormalââ¬â¢ situations. She is also compassionate and caring, sometimes in a big way. But often Just little things that make a big difference. At the beginning of the novel we are introduced to Robin as a responsible, reliable teenager who wasnââ¬â¢t able to commit to the camp out without the conformation and permission from her strict parents. Elli finds Robinââ¬â¢s parentsââ¬â¢ trust issues in their daughter quite amusing, ââ¬Å"The funny thing about it was that if parents ever had a daughter they could trust it was the Matterââ¬â¢s and Robin, but they didnââ¬â¢t seem to have worked it out yet. The biggest problem she was ever likely to give them was being late to church. And thatââ¬â¢d probably be because she was helping a boy scout across the road. Robin was fairly quiet and serious. She got effort certificates at school every year, and she was heavily religious. Though underneath the coax of this surface, Robin was an extremely determined, strong minded person, who could be highly competitive at times. Throughout the novel we see Robin progress and slowly, bit by bit; and she cracks the shell of the quiet obedient good girl she used to be, before the invasion. Robinââ¬â¢s major character traits stay pretty much the same and she is still content to keep her morality throughout the war but we do notice small changes and impacts the war has ad on Robin. For one, Robin emerges as a leader. She was able to rise above the others when they were all having emotional breakdowns as their world was crumbling around them, trying to comprehend the idea of an invasion on their own soil. She was no longer the small quiet girl who always carried out good deeds and lived a typical Wireman life. The invasion had created a certain strength within Robin that only really shed light in her past life when she was intently competing in sport. This strength allowed her to undertake tasks without a momentââ¬â¢s hesitation in times of life or death situations. Robin skipped over the next bit pretty quickly but itââ¬â¢s one of the reasons for writing all this down, because I want people to know stuff like this, how brave Robin was that night. She picked up the photocopier that sits on a stand near the lottery desk and chucked the whole thing through the door. Then she ran to Lee, heaved him onto her back, across her shoulders, and carried him through the shattered door, kicking out bits of glass as she went. â⬠Robinââ¬â¢s bravery saved Lee that night of the patrol raid. She turned into a heroin over the course of a night and as well as her commendable bravery and strength in arraying Lee to safety, Robin was able to overcome her fitful fear of blood and needles. Iââ¬â¢ve given him two injections today. It was cool fun. ââ¬Ë ââ¬ËRobin! ââ¬Ë I nearly passed out myself, in amazement. ââ¬ËYou faint when people even mention injections! ââ¬Ë ââ¬ËYes, I know,ââ¬â¢ she said, with her head on one side as though she were a botanist studying herself. ââ¬ËItââ¬â¢s funny, isnââ¬â¢t it? â⬠Overall, I think the drastic effects of the war had flicked a newly found switch within Robinââ¬â¢ s kind heart. The changes within had shaped her to be resilient in tough situations and had consequently saved the lives of friends. How to cite Robyn Matthers, Papers

The design of the official website of Emirates airline is being done in such way that it will provide holistic service to the customers. Customers visiting their web page will have the access to the history of the company along with having the facility of online ticket booking. Moreover other online facilities being offered by them are the online check in facilities, online management of the passenger seat, customer loyalty programs and added facilities such as tourism package and hotel bookings across the world[9]. Thus, with having these diversified facilities, Emirates is covering the diversified needs of the customers. In the case of Oman air, enhancing the utility of their official websites will help them to enhance their competitive advantages in the market. This is due to the reason that, in the current business scenario, especially in the airline sector, customers are more looking for the convenience and peace of mind in selecting their preferred airliner[10]. Thus, organizations such as Emirates are going ahead in the competition. In order to stay competitive in the market, Oman air also has to initiate the facilities of online payment and other facilities[11]. This will help them to enhance the effectiveness of their organizational process by catering to more number of customers. Implementation of Porters five forces theory Porters five forces theory will help to determine the various impacts of involving of E-business in the organizational activity of Oman air. According to this theory, the first step is the threat of entry. For Oman air, the threat of entry is always high due to the probability of new entrants[12]. Moreover, the new entrants in the market will offer more updated service to the customers. Thus, it is of utmost importance for the Oman air to initiate E-business to offer service to the customers according to the change in the requirement in the market. Thus, the more will be the diversified online services being provided by them, the more they will be equipped to take on the new entrants. The next aspect is the bargaining power of the suppliers. For Oman air, suppliers include the partners of them such as booking agents and travel agents[13]. However, in case of not having any online or E-business activity, they will be more depended on the existing partners and it will increase the bargaining power of the suppliers. On the other hand, initiation of E-business will help to reduce the dependency on the suppliers. The next element of this theory is threat to the substitutes. In the current scenario, various airliners are operating and competition is high. The core service being offered by them is same of providing air service. Thus, in order to stay ahead in the competition, Oman air has to promote distinctive service for their customers. Initiation of the E-business will enable them to promote unique services to the customers from their portal, which will help them to stay ahead in the competition. The next step is the bargaining power of the buyers[14]. In the case of airline industry, the bargaining power of the buyer is more due to the presence of different airliner in the market. In this case also, initiation of the E-business will help Oman air to provide one of a kind services to the customers, which will reduce the number of options available to the customers. The last step is the industry rivalry. Switching cost for the customers is very less and thus, customers have low level of loyalty. Hence, with the initiation of the E-business, the diversity of the product and service portfolio of Oman air will get increased[15]. More added service can be offered to the customers. Thus, among the competition, Oman air will have competitive advantages[16]. Recommendations The initiation of the E-business should be implemented in the global scenario. This will enable the customers to have the online flight booking facility for all the major cities around the world. The interface of the portal or web page should be changed periodically in accordance to the market trend. This will enhance the visibility and attractiveness of the web page to the potential customers. Privacy and security is one of the key contemporary issues being faced by the online portals. Thus, Oman air should ensure the security of their portal. This is important due to the reason that, customer information will be stored and thus leakage or breach of customer information will have negative implication for them. Customer loyalty bonus and rebate should be initiated in order to motivate the customers to use their online facilities. It will help them to increase the online traffic. In this case, extra discount can be provided for the customers booking tickets from online portal. Any organizational excellence and achievements should be effectively communicated and promoted through their portals. It will help Oman air to enhance their brand value and service as well as attracting more customers. The online portals should be made available in different major languages to effectively communicate and reach out to different customers from different social groups. Conclusion Thus, it can be concluded that, initiation of the E-business will help Oman air in enhancing their organizational effectiveness. Their brand value will also get enhanced and communicated to more number of customers around the world. Critical analysis has also been done to determine the benefits of having E-business for Oman air.
